January and February are lovely months to explore as the calving season happens in the southern part of the Serengeti

Day 1, 2 : The rugged beauty of Ruaha | 2 Nights

Ruaha National Park


Meet and greet at Dar es Salaam Airport, domestic flights to Ruaha National Park, accommodation with all meals, tea and coffee, laundry, all national park fee, 2 scheduled safaris in open game drive vehicles (alongside other guests at the lodge) exploring the largest national park in Tanzania with over 530 bird species, incredible population of lions, wild dogs and other predators.

* Baggage restrictions of 15 Kg (includes hand luggage) – in soft bags


Accommodation in chalets at the Ruaha River Lodge. 24 Stone chalets set on the banks of a river and natural kopjes with stunning views. Fantastic game viewing from the lodge – especially from June to December.

Day 3, 4, 5 : Selous, the World Heritage Site | 3 Nights

Selous Game Reserve


Breakfast, domestic flight to Selous Game Reserve, two game drives, a walking safari and a boat safari (all safari activities are alongside other guests), accommodation with all meals, tea and coffee, laundry, all national park fees.

Accommodation in classic tents at the Rufiji River Camp. The spectacular sunsets and views of the river from your tent pitched under a massive thatched roof makes this a wonderful stay. Ensuites with solar heated bathrooms and all the amenities provided.

* A wonderful option is to  book a night of fly camping where you stay in an adventurous fly tent with bucket showers. Your very own Chef, Host and Guide will make it a memorable adventure out in the wild.

Day 6 : Departure

Dar es Salaam Airport


Breakfast, domestic flight to Dar es Salaam Airport for your onward flight
